Official website for the Ichthys Project onshore LNG facilities
The Ichthys Project onshore LNG facilities, which is named after the classical Greek word for “fish”, will create employment, training and business opportunities to the Darwin, and broader Northern Territory region.
The Ichthys Project onshore LNG facilities will have an initial capacity to produce 8.4 million tonnes of LNG per annum and approximately 1.6 million tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) per annum.
Gas from the Ichthys Field will undergo preliminary processing at the offshore central processing facility (CPF) to remove water and raw liquids, including a large portion of the condensate. The gas will be transported from the CPF through 889km of subsea pipeline to the onshore LNG processing plant at Blaydin Point on Middle Arm Peninsula, Darwin, Northern Territory.
Inpex and its joint venture participants have contracted JKC joint venture to undertake the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the onshore LNG plant and associated infrastructure. JKC joint venture comprises JGC Corporation, KBR and Chiyoda Corporation, which manages this official recruitment website.
Construction of this project is now underway and is expected to take around five years to complete. Click here for more information
