The Ichthys Project Onshore LNG Facilities is creating employment, training and business opportunities in the Darwin, and broader Northern Territory region.

A key part of the Ichthys LNG Project, the onshore LNG facilities will have an initial capacity to produce 8.4 million tonnes of LNG per annum and approximately 1.6 million tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) per annum.

Gas from the Ichthys Field will undergo preliminary processing at the offshore central processing facility (CPF) to remove water and raw liquids, including a large portion of the condensate.  The gas will be transported from the CPF through 889km of subsea pipeline to the onshore LNG processing plant at Bladin Point on Middle Arm Peninsula, Darwin, Northern Territory.

INPEX and its joint venture partners have contracted JKC Australia LNG (JKC) joint venture to undertake the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the onshore LNG plant and associated infrastructure. JKC, comprising JGC Corporation, KBR and Chiyoda Corporation, manage this official recruitment website.

Construction of this project is now past the half-way mark of a five-year completion period. Click here for more information

Much of the civil works have been completed and now the Project is naturally moving into a new cycle of structural development as we prepare for the mechanical and electrical packages.

Construction of the Combined Cycle Power Plant and the LNG processing trains is well under way, bringing about a change of scenery as the large structures begin to take shape.

Recruitment for a large mechanical and electrical workforce is now the focus of construction in 2015, when the Project is due to reach peak workforce later in the year.

This website is dedicated to connecting job seekers to all JKC subcontractors associated with the construction of the onshore LNG facilities.

The JKC Construction Employment and Mobilisation Centre (CEMC) is located at 22 Mitchell Street, Darwin (next to Java Spice Café). Our opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm; we are closed on public holidays. Phone: 08 8931 8999.

Thank you for your interest in employment on the Ichthys Project Onshore LNG Facilities.
